TEMBISA HOSPITAL ON FIRE – KAE NEWS

The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that a fire erupted at Tembisa Hospital on Saturday afternoon, 19 April 2025.
Emergency services, including Ekurhuleni Fire & Rescue, are currently battling the flames. While no fatalities or injuries have been confirmed at this stage, the full extent of the damage remains unknown.
Gauteng Health confirmed that patients had to be evacuated from the accident and emergency unit at the Hospital due to the fire incident.
Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi said “Our teams are attending to the fire situation at Tembisa Hospital. A full update will be provided later.”
