PROGRESS AT KAALFONTEIN MULTIPURPOSE CENTRE – KAE NEWS
A STEP CLOSER TO EMPOWERING KAE COMMUNITIES
The long-awaited Kaalfontein Multipurpose Centre is taking shape! Construction activity at Section 2 of the centre is now in full swing, with scaffolding recently erected on-site — a clear sign that the build is progressing well.
This phase focuses on the development of an 806m² library and learning centre, a crucial component of the facility that will provide much-needed educational resources and digital access to the communities of Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, and Ivory Park.
The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA), on behalf of the City of Johannesburgq, is spearheading the project, which is set to become a beacon of learning, development, and opportunity for residents in the area.
Once completed, the multipurpose centre will serve as a vital community hub, offering access to books, study spaces, internet services, and skills development programs. The project also aims to reduce inequality in access to information and provide a safe environment for young people to learn and grow.
KAE News will continue monitoring the project and provide regular updates as more progress is made.
