LITTLE TO NO WATER IN PARTS OF KAE – KAE NEWS

Parts of Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, and Ivory Park are facing severe water shortages due to a power failure at Eskom’s Palmiet system.

The outage, which occurred between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM yesterday, has disrupted Rand Water’s Palmiet operations, significantly impacting Johannesburg Water’s supply systems.

Affected Systems:

• Midrand System: All reservoirs supplied by this system are critically low. Residents, especially those in high-lying areas, will experience low pressure to no water.• Grand Central Reservoir: Pumping has been stopped to allow recovery due to dangerously low levels.

• Erand Reservoir: Low levels but still supplying water moderately.
