A record of 5,427 COVID-19 tests were conducted in South Africa in the last 24 hours. This brings the number of total tests to 126 937. As at today the 21st of April 2020, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in South Africa is 3,465. This is an increase of 165 from previously reported cases.
Gauteng has the highest number of confirmed cases with 1,199 and KwaZulu-Natal has the highest number of deaths at 23. Fortunately, no death was recorded today. The number of coronavirus related deaths stands at 58.
Meanwhile, the Presidency announced today that “President Ramaphosa will address the nation this evening on additional economic and social relief measures that form part of the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic
